What a week for the big man!!

Absolutely delighted for him, did not see this comeback coming!

Me neither, it's fantastic, I think it's also a sign of player, and manager maturity . . . You need all the strings on your bow to be consistently succesful, Shane is a string we didn't have last season.

Have to say, I thought Duffy was brilliant last weekend and well deserved MOTM but I was a bit concerned about him up against Watford more nippy forwards - I shouldn't have been, he was class again, and he's been our most reliable goal threat from set pieces ever since he joined us. Fantastic, well done big man!

Brighton factually.....
Lovely to hear the masses giving him much love with his chant.

Welcome home.

This, it was heart warming to hear, he must be so thrilled to be back in the side so soon.
Definitely a lesson in be careful what you wish for with his Celtic move, let’s hope he can maintain his form, and I’m sure he will still have a future with us.

I’d love it if Duffers had a decent role in the squad this season. Bullet header infront of the Home fans next week would do nicely.

Oh oh oh ohhhh ain’t nobody. Like Shane Duffy.

Not quite the bullet header but I’ll forgive him. So pleased for him today. Loved seeing him getting the biggest cheer as he left the ground infront of the north. May not have the finesse of Ben white but **** me he has my heart. I just hope he keeps it going.

I might start slagging off a different player each week!

When was the last time Trossard scored after a slick little 1 2 in the box?

I'm sorry I bounced that - its just that I so rarely call anything correctly on here :)

& surely if it's the Albion in the box it would have to be a 1-2-3-4 as we are the Kings of overplay

Former Premier League star and now Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp believes that Duffy has got the capabilities to prove everyone wrong from his failed time in the Scottish Premiership at Celtic [Er, I think he already has! - Ed].

Speaking to Sky Sports Redknapp said: "He has come back to Brighton and it couldn’t have gone any better for him. I spoke to Adam Lallana this morning and he said ‘give Shane Duffy a good mention’.

“And he has been proven right. He scored a goal and played so well.”

Can’t see Duffy starting this weekend given that he has already played two games in the last few days.

We'll need him against Toney. More likely he'll play and then get a rest against Leicester when Veltman will be fully fit.

Just hope he's right mentally, after a tough week the RoI have it all to do now in their qualifying group if they are to qualify for the next WC.

Depends where Veltman plays.

I think Potter’s optimum back 5 is this but I can’t see Burn, March & Lamptey being march fit.

———-Webster—-Dunk——Burn———
Lamptey————————————March

I think we’ll see this on Saturday:

———Webster—-Duffy——-Dunk———
Veltman———————————Cucurella
