The radio commentary is suggesting that it was a superb spectacle/contest. However it sounded like a one way demolition job to me. Which was it?
One way, AJ landed a couple of big shots on him in the 5th but left himself massively open for the KO

Realistically it was a matter of time after AJ took a big hit in the first, didn’t look like he knew where he was (talking to people outside the ring during the 5th)

This, his legs were gone after that first big hit. He was staggering around, trod on the bottom rope at one point. Dubois smelled blood from the first bell.

I don’t know if AJ was going for “stoic” or what, but he looked like a deer in headlines right from the ring walk to the final bell.

He’s done.

Is it normal for Sky Sports news to show pretty much all of the highlights on the 11pm news when they are charging a substantial amount for PPV, if be fuming if I’d paid for it, hardly any exclusivity

Around 36 hours to go, should be a cracker, and also a decent undercard which is a bi product of the Saudi influence.

The main event really is a pick ‘em fight, and bizarrely as current IBF champion Dubois is effectively the ‘A’ side.

Bags of potential as a young fighter, he’s come up short in his two biggest fights, Usyk and Joyce, but you could argue he knocked Usyk down but was never going to get the KO because of the subsequent riot it would have started with 40,000 Ukranians in the stadium, and the Joyce defeat was a freak injury.

But can he beat an apparently rejuvenated AJ?

Yes, I think he stops AJ in 6,7 or 8, when old Father Time finally taps Joshua on the shoulder and he runs out of gas.
Thanks Gents 🥊😂

Currently stuck in traffic at Wembley but worth every minute, a truly historic World Title fight.

Was a bit worried in early rounds that referee Marcus McDonnell was going to make the fight about himself, with two very harsh looking reprimands for use of Dubois’s head, then an alleged low blow… luckily it didn’t matter
They were always going to try to help AJ win the fight as thats where the big money follows and the Fury fight was in everyones plan. Fortunately Dubois didnt even give them a chance to rig it and absolutely battered him from round one. Goes to show how everyone gets wrapped up in the media new trainer new fighter rhetoric after AJ looked good against three very mid opponents after Usyk.

The real shame is we never got the AJ Fury fight, or if it does happen no one will care. Fury looked crestfallen at the final whistle. £100m+ each and potentially the biggest fight in history up in smoke. They've both paid a big price for not getting it on much much earlier and Im sure they will both regret it down the line.

Biggest fight in history? UK interest maybe but not around the world.

AJ should've just retired with his millions following that embarrassing meltdown after the Usyk fight. Surprised he even showed his face in public again after that... He surely won't get another big, meaningful fight now.

The ref was not great tonight with the two harsh reprimands on Dubois and claiming 'no knockdown' for what was clearly a knockdown?! I think he just couldn't believe Joshua had gone down like that twice in quick succession. Or he was just always going to favour him, either or, it made not a shit of difference. Now let's see Dubois face some proper competition (I'm guessing Usyk).

Come on Joshua, take the mic and make a complete prat of yourself again.
Cricket protocol:
Batsman wearing a protective helmet gets brushed on the head by a ball .
Result: The game stops, doctor on for tests, helmet changed.

Boxing protocol:
Boxer actually gets knocked out
Result: interviewer - “so what went wrong aj”. And the world judges what he says. Crazy really.

Post fight interviews after stoppages shouldn’t happen.

Great post, couldn’t agree more.

Hope AJ is okay….
