Any recommendations for bars that will show todays game in Dubai? We’re staying near the Dubai Mall

Worth checking its being shown there first as rules can vary around the UAE. For example, they don’t broadcast The Flintstones in Dubai - but Abu Dhabi do.

Not sure of any around there, tbh – it's not a part of town I socialise in much.

You could try Double Deckers, which is an English-themed pub with a lot of screens. It's in the Swissotel Al Murooj, which is just across the road from Dubai Mall.

If you're prepared to venture beyond the Downtown area, there are plenty of other places as this guide shows. Of those listed there, the Bridgewater and Nezesaussi Grill will both be near you, but I've never been to either so can't vouch for them.

Bear in mind that a lot of places will be in 'end of brunch' mode though: the 'all you can eat and drink' deals which generally run 1–5pm or so on Saturdays. Some of these places, like McGettigans, Irish Village etc, will likely be quite messy already.

I'm not in town at the moment otherwise I'd invite you down to The Movenpick, JBR (Jumeirah Beach Resort) where the NSC legend that is bhafc99 and I have watched a few games. Big screen, happy hour until 9pm, etc.

Just messaged a mate of mine there. He's suggesting McGettigans Irish Bar near the WTC. You could also try Fibber Magee's which is also in the WTC area. https://fibbersdubai.com/sports/

bhafc99's recommendations are good. I watched a lot of the Rugby World Cup from Nezesaussi Grill - plenty of TVs around the place and hopefully not too messy as it's a bit more highbrow. The Irish Village in Garhoud is always a decent place to watch sport.

Either way, there's plenty of options. And as lovely as the weather here in the UK is at the moment, I can't wait to get back.
