Many people ignored this tune but it was always my favourite from the album. Perhaps it foreshadowed the British Wave of blues based bands in the next decade?

At the end of my tether
True legend, apparently 86 years old . As a small boy I can remember being mesmerised by that guitar sound , as I heard it on our old “wireless” . He was the forunner of those who followed , with that heavy , bassey echoing guitar sound. “ The Twang’s the thang” RIP Duane .

Oh no. Crikey he must have been old. One of my first pop heroes.

86 years old. Last saw him live at the Festival Halls, South Bank one very rainy night in October 2010. Backed by Richard Hawley and Ellie Goulding as a backing singer, plus a young saxophonist from Poland who was so good. So good in fact if you closed your eyes you would think it was Steve Douglas (original recording Rebel) playing. Duane was dressed in all black with a matching stetson. A super evening with all the old hits, plus some new ones, played.
