It is possible to sing when sitting down as I do it every match. I hope that Brighton fans don't turn on each other tonight because someone is supporting the team in their own way. Some of us cannot stand throughout the whole match.
I hope I'm proved wrong if it does work but clearly introducing a drum at this stage will be a massive ask. Some will be in favour and others against, at a game where we all need to be together this could prove to be a divisive step. The atmosphere at the last few games has been pretty good, I'm sure it will be cranked up tonight. Boro and Wednesday last few home games would have been nothing like they were when we played them. Everyone needs to step up and join in whatever song is going at the time.

I don't really like drums. I like the organic nature of english football chants. But the Amex needs it.
I get all a bit OCD about this. But it is NOT hard to sing in time with people if you just bloody listen instead of singing in your own little bubble. It's the same with the Stand or Fall/Going up to win the cup stuff. People sing what they want, how fast they want, when they want because to them it doesn't matter. But it affects the overall atmosphere.
Get a drum in. And sing the great escape for the whole first half. Get those scarfs swinging around your head like the Burnley match and see what a wall of noise it will make.
Then throw it in the bin and take the valuable lesson forward without the need for a drum!

I think you may be disappointed to learn that people who do not like drums at football are placed all over the stadium just like those that want one. Sorry that does not fit with your stereotype of people who are against this. It's like suggesting everyone who wants a drum wears a black hoodie and refers to themselves as an a ultra it is just not true.

But if an atmosphere's already built, spontaneously and naturally, adding a banging drum to dragoon people into keeping time is just unnecessary - and totally bloodyannoying.

This is what I just cannot understand. It is just totally embarrassing that the majority of our fans don't seem to be able to sing in time. Just what is so difficult? I learnt to do it when I was about 5. It's not rocket science.
Something to blame if the atmosphere is crap... and pointless if it is rocking because of the action on the pitch!

The drum might help in getting all sides of the Amex singing as one .... all together now 'You can stick that shi**y drum up your ar**'

Love those videos, unfortunately we would never be allowed flares, h & s and all that, but the bouncing, the wall of noise, the constant chanting... shouldn't be too much to ask.
For those of you moaning about a drum, get up off your arses and make some noise, show that you were right, that we dont need a drum, doesnt matter what stand you are in, you have a voice USE IT!
I want a drum, why can't I have a drum, I pays my ticket, why should they have a drum, I want a drum.
