What's that now, 11 goals conceded from corners? (And yes no goals in almost 150 corners from our side for comparison ) Clear weakness at defending crosses albeit a good shot stopper.

Tim krul the stage is yours (and also drop Bruno who cannot hack premier league football unfortately).

Ryan is definitely overrated on NSC. Great shot stopper but cannot command his box. Don't think Krul is good enough these days to replace him.

Did pretty well today. Came out to collect several crosses today. The problem from corners isn’t Ryan. It’s Dunk and Duffy not picking up their man and Bruno was marking Rondon today we a joke.

I think some thread starters are desperately looking for reason to start their own threads.

I was totally unconvinced by Ryan at the start of the season but he has really grown on me in terms of his distribution, shot stopping, team spirit and commitment to the cause. He's justifiably picked up a few MoM awards.

Unfortunately, the one other thing I mentioned, as did many others, was his height and strength. The know-alls on NSC shot it down to the point where it became a running joke but it IS an issue. He simply cannot command his box and we will concede from set pieces all season as a result.

Unchallenged crosses.

He was one of the only players today that deserves to wear the shirt. The rest were appalling.

He deserves his place between the sticks making great one on one saves! Problem is CB’s losing there men as the cross comes in and Bruno who never watches the ball and spends the whole time wrestling his man at corners.

This is the reason why we concede so much from corners, he hasn't got the presence to bully forwards in the box at corners

Lol. What the actual **** was today’s defensive game plan from set pieces? We played man to man with Duffy as the spare man to attack the ball, it failed inside 4 minutes but we still continued with. MEGA LOLZ. Utterly shit but not really Ryan’s fault, more a fault of a poor system and even poorer execution. Abysmal.

Well that’s just not true.

Nearest player each time was a defender. He doesn't challenge a crowded area.

It's like watching Eric Steele.

I'm not saying he's a poor keeper just that we always look under pressure at corners/freekicks. Our opposition appear to have a common game plan. Crowd around our keeper knowing our main defenders will protect him then put the ball towards the penalty spot or slightly deeper, head downwards towards the posts and score.

I thought the 2nd corner came out too far for the keeper to go for and I’m sure it was bong at fault as it went over his head

So who was he marking, oh yes the one who headed it.

Good to see people agreeing. I completely blame Ryan for this dismal part of our game of defendinng corners. WBA should have scored from four.

we don't have the likes of Murray at the front post as we conceded 2 goals from set pieces with flick on from a stoke player and today was the same and we have knockeart on the post he is smaller than ryan

None of the recent set pieces have been anything to do with Ryan as they've been well out of keeper range, he's a strong lad too so not seen him bullied - opposition tactics haven't actually been sticking the ball on him.

We have multiple threads, Chris's fault, not leaving players up fault, players on posts, now Ryan...
