sorry, but when did Gerrad have this really bad game? he made an utterly stupid, comcial, school boy mistake that'll probably be dragged up for years to come. The rest of the game he was pretty solid, made some great tackles and good passes (when we had the ball).

And the diamond formation was shit and i never want to see it again.

I think that is about right.

Gerrard is an excellent player and one of the best in our team. He made one mistake, albeit costly. He would still be one of the first names on my team sheet for Switzerland though.

That's the problem for a player like Gerrard-he has what is for him a quiet game, makes a costly error that leads to a goal and he gets criticised unfairly.

Why do we always do this, we lose a game that we shouldnt have done and everyone goes well over the top, yes Gerrard did make a really big error and was stupid ball to play as hard for keeper to deal with at best of times, he should have put into the crowd and got us a draw, which would have been best and normally what Gerrard would do, but strangely done what he did, but he played well upto then, also becks took bad pen, but is best player for england in whole, owen and scholes were dreadful, and should be dropped before gerrard, also think sutton should have got into squad instead of heskey, also Thompson should have been picked as is left footed, but i believe in sven and is just bad english luck, as the whole game we played well and deserved win and kept france very quiet all game, thought ledley king was suberb and that campbell was as well
