And don't worry, it's quite normal to have an accident and lose your 'no claims bonus' within a few months of driving. It's good form not to kill anyone in the process, though.

not at all I was nervous of that myself but it seemed fine! Would have been worse if it was my clutch leg/ankle id damaged. The insurance should be manageable to as ive still got my two years no claims on my (r.I.p) bike.

As others have said, it is so much harder to pass these days & I suppose its for the better. I only had 10 lessons and passed 1st time.

I still half want a bike tho :( Like giving up football for example... cant be done ive been bitten by the bike bug.
