Why do you think it's a way for governments to control our lives? I've read loads about driverless cars - and interviewed some of the technologists behind them - but I've not seen anything to suggest they're going to be state-owned, You're the first person ever to mention the possibility

Its not just for you a lot of people like or love to drive, to be in control.... it will be an unwanted transition if this is implemented and they have to switch from manual to auto....

I've never even driven a car with an automatic GEARBOX because I like being in control, let alone everything being automatic.
