It will probably be a bloody nightmare getting a train from London Road to Falmer though, unless you go REALLY early. You could get on the next one to Brighton, not get off and wait for it to go back again.

The park&ride would be the best option as train from Chichester £48(family of 4). How do i get the travel vouchers required to use this service though?.

A Southern DaySave ticket would cover your entire journey and cost £24.

Change at Brighton, , one stop from hove to Brighton , change trains then one stop from Brighton to falmer

Think you'll find it's 3 stops to Falmer from Brighton, London Road, Moulscoomb then Falmer or are there non-stoppers Brighton to Falmer ?
