Draw tomorrow would suit both sides....

Sorry, I'm having a thick moment. If Burnley and Boro draw tomorrow and we win all our remaining games then wont it be down to goal difference, with ours being inferior by -8 at the moment.

If they draw tomorrow and we win ALL our remaining games including at Boro, then we will have 93 points, Boro could get a maximum of 92 (IF we win there).

No because our last game is against Boro. We would be 2 points behind them going in to it.

Maybe the Albion could focus on some serious extra training on defending 90 minute leads. Because if it wasn't for the now-inevitable 90+ minute Boro winner, that lot would be struggling bigtime.

Not forgetting the massive advantage the winning team gets over the Albion and the losers.

I think we have to accept that Boro WILL score in injury time. Its the law.

It'll only be a consolation goal though.

Winning all our games means Middlesbrough will drop 3 further points.

Who cares what that result is.
I do!
If we win our last 4 games we are up regardless. That result one way or the other, just gives more room for error on our own part
I'd like more room for error please. The odds on us being promoted will change depending on that result.

Calm heads are needed. Let's just focus on winning tomorrow night & let the other teams worry about us!!

Boro and Albion winning tomorrow would be my ideal scenario - really dont want to have to win away at boro - if we do I would like to play with them already champions. Praying for a couple of Burnley slip ups!!

A big fat this. It's all well and good saying 'four wins is all we need', but that would be on the back of three wins making it 7 wins in a row. When was the last time we did that? It would also mean we'd end the season with 9 wins out of our last ten. I'm not liking the odds of that and would like some wiggle room.

But the Albion don't need 4 more wins.

The team just needs to win the next game.

Absolutely every fibre of Hughton's being would seem geared up to winning the next match.
I've not seen or heard anything from the club, from the very top to bottom, that makes me question the teams ability to win the next game.

This is undoubtedly true, but like others on here, I'd prefer it if one or both of our rivals had a great big stumble, just to reduce the tension!

Burnley know that a draw against Boro and win the rest of their games, they are up. But beat Boro and they can take that draw against Preston, so I'm sure they'll go for it. Boro can lose this one, but win the rest of their games they are up, not sure if a point changes the dynamic much for them. Indeed Boro can lose this, lose against Brum and still be up if they win the other two games. A win against Burnley and they're laughing.

I'm starting to think that the Albion need to focus on providing the funds for Albion in the Community to provide some serious extra maths training for the good folk of NSC. :)
