I reckon we have more chance of seeing Boris Johnson play for England, given Sven's undying loyalty to the likes of Owen, Rooney and Co, regardless of their current form.

so why has rooney not got 20 he is as good if not better than him the class around him does not make him look so good then

still seem to missing your point here.
its much harder to get goal up frount for palace than it would be up frount for man u(good players would set you up more)

Rooney is not an out and out goalscorer.

And at Man U there are other players who score. I can't remember the last time a Palarse player other than Johnson scored and I would imagine he has at least half of Palarse's goals.

No i understand what you are saying but AJ gets the attention because he is your best player by a mile.

and stands out on the tv he gets the ball all the time at palace and will get more goal scoring chances there

if he went to a big club he would have to work hard to get as many chances so to show his class he would have to convert most chances and thats why i very much dobt he would score 20 goals fot man utd as there is two many class players there

smith has found that out

yes he is
a £25,000000 one

He hasn't played every game up front this season, and he often plays deep.

He's not a poacher like someone like Fowler or Van Nistelrooy.

It doesn't follow that 10 goals for Palace is worth c. 20 for Arsenal because Arsenal strikers get more chances; applying that logic Johnson is better than Henry. You've got to be able to take the pressure of playing for the top teams and deliver those 20+ goals.

Johnson's been around for a while, if he was so good he would already have been signed up by somebody decent. He's a good quality Prem striker having a career season - end of.

AJ is still only 22 or 23 years old. But he never seemed to be given a fair crack of the whip at Brum.

But it's not just his goals that are so important to Palace, his all round covering play is just as valuable.

Perhaps in a better team he wouldn't have to spent so much time tracking back and could concentrate on banging in goals.

I still say AJ is deffo worth 45 minutes in an England friendly. But as has been said, I can't see him persuading Sven to break his bond with established strikers for tournament matches even if they are out of form or unfit.

Given that Sven seems set on his front two of OWen and Rooney, is Johnson really good enough to get a look in? Defoe is leagues ahead, Smith is better and then there's Vassell who rarely lets England down.

As at CB, this is a position where you've really got to be special to be in with a chance.

I think most people know on here that I am a Andy Johnson fan...I couldn't give a flying fig who he plays for, I just really rate him.

In my team of premiership players who would make up an international side, i would have Johnson and Henry playing up front together. Ok, Van Nistelroy and Rooney are probably better players but I thing as an out and out predator in front of goal, he would fit the bill precisely.

I would also have John Stead in my team but I am somewhat biased as I think he is one of the finest young talents to come out of Yorkshire since a young Geoffry Boycott:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
