Hello people

I'm looking to get new windows fitted (Eastbourne way) and need some recommendations on companies that will do a good / cheap job? I have looked on check-a-trade and there is only one company in Eastbourne that do it. Any feedback positivie and negative will be greatly appreciated.
:D

Im in EB and my neighbour did mine on the side for cash, he works for a local firm. Saved me £800 compared to what a local company quoted. PM me if interested and I can ask him for you if hes interested in quoting.

How soon is now?
We've just had ours done by The Glass Centre in Portland Road. First class job! Clean, tidy, nice guys and quick. I will reccomend these guys hands down, and i'm sure they will travel to Eastbourne - after all, business is business

Oh, and to add - they beat the one man band that we were orignally going to use on price as well

I used Crystal Glass a few months back... they fitted 6 large georgian windows and back door (with a cat flat) for 3k.... unreal price.... They started off with a quote of 7k as they always do... but in the end i was generally getting 4 different firms keep under cutting the other... Then i said 3k and u have the work and they took it...

It is well worth getting a few firms to battle it out as they will always under cut the other...

just to add they are a big company so if things do go wrong will come out in a jiffy to protect their name and sort things... All fensa registered etc and 10 years guarnetee... I do like to support the local businesses but once they have done the work are a ball ache to get hold of when things start to go wrong...

oh ok... just get them all competing with eachother... even if they all stay stuck at a price... nothing wrong with saying one has dropped the price by 100 ;) good luck

Be aware that replacement windows do come under Building Regulations, and should comply with the necessary standards. Ensure the windows you receive are correctly certified. http://www.fensa.co.uk/ http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/permission/commonprojects/doorswindows/

Brighton Trade Windows all the way, good quality and competitively priced. The geezer that owns them is also a BHA sth and sponsor, look no further!

Unless the property is a fairly bland modern one of mid-market value or below fitting plastic double glazing will eventually knock seven bells off its worth. One day it will be seen in the same way as York Stone cladding and concrete roofing tiles.
