Breaking off from the controversial relegation odds thread which seems to have transitioned to a what would it take for us to be relegated thread... not necessarily all doom and gloom but just some possible eventualities to consider, all in one place.

Of course, as many have pointed out, the spectre of relegation hangs over most PL clubs at the beginning of the season but there are always mitigating factors which swing the balance either way in terms of pre-season odds. It's too soon to make this prediction given that we don't know who the manager will be and we haven't seen how the transfer window will pan out. Nevertheless, there's a sneaking feeling that the Albion have hit their ceiling and are suddenly looking down rather than up.

It isn't crazy to consider, as other posters have done, what would constitute a worst case scenario on a realistic level (shitposters welcome nonetheless) since there are a number of factors currently in the balance, perhaps more so than in any previous season since Potter steered us to safety in his first season.

So here's the new poll... We are doomed if... which combination of these scenarios plays out... (this is just for fun, i'm sure we'll be fine, won't we?)

I don't think we would be doomed at all but the top three would be the biggest concern - especially Mitoma and Joao Pedro - they're our difference makers. Without them, we are toothless.

I suppose there's a chance he gets kidnapped by a super-fan and held hostage in the suburbs of Tokyo where he is forced to conduct dribbling experiments for a Masters thesis.

There was a successful appeal by Hereford to overturn the result and we're relegated. Then the incoming government retrospectively remove planning permission and the Amex has to be dismantled.

Don't really see that. All the players who got us into Europe in the first place were signed before De Zerbi arrived. And there's no reason at this point to think we won't sign good players this window now he's gone.

That is the concern, two choices are available forget any Mitoma profit and he stays and becomes a club legend.
Or they want the profit.
I happen to know at this point in time he doesn’t want out and loves it here. ( my daughters boss is his friend and he’s often in her work place).
