With respect, for one connected or previously connected with the media, I would have thought you might have chosen a less public way to validate your suspicions. The very nature of this thread means his name is now tainted in the eyes of some: whether it is deserved I know not. But there must be another way of finding out, rather than airing your unsubstantiated view (i.e. nonce) on a public message board. I hope none of his family are reading.

Im sure the Bailey family are regular visitors to NSC.....however i completely forgot about this bloke so just googled him ......if you google Ken Bailey England mascott a link to this thread appears on the first page saying..was Ken Bailey a nonce? Im sure his family dont use google either. Didnt realise he was a Bournmouth fan or that he died 17 years ago!!!

With respect, I wasn't validating my own suspicions, I was merely asking a question which we had debated in the car coming back from Wembley.

In my sons wardrobe is the Football Express set with Ken Bailey on the front in all his glory, I would have been surprised if Subbuteo had used him to endorse their products.
