Tony Bloom has urged fans not to panic about the pace of squad rebuilding.
Bloom has assured supporters that the Seagulls will have a side capable of competing with the League One promotion contenders for the big kick off in August.
Two more signings expected this week.
'Gus and I are happy to spend a bit longer to get the right players than getting the wrong players in for day one. We are making progress on different fronts but we have got to make sure we get it right. Come August 7th we will have a team competing to be at the top. There are no doubts whatsoever.'
Albions lists of targets include South American players following a scouting trip last month by Poyet and Mauricio Tarrico to the continent.
