beemers are for arses.
All BMW drivers are, always, all the time.
Selfish twats always need to be right behind you, like they want to be up your tailpipe.

Wan curs

Yet when we meet, which is quite often you are so nice and pally to me ...how does that work then? Don't think you have ever called me a wanker to my face.....tell you what, if you are around boxing day we can have another pleasant chat and you will tell me what a laugh it all is calling someone a wanker on a internet board...how we will giggle together

Rear wheel drive cars are not the cars to have on ice - Fact. I drove through a blizzard in Northern France yesterday, I saw just three cars in the ditches, 2 beemers and a Merc. I was also driving a rear wheel drive car and I was shitting myself, expecting to leave the road at any moment.

Got stuck stopping on the A281 at a burger van with grand children today and tried that, no accelerator in first gear and drove straight off of the packed ice onto the road no problem.

Well I struggle by using Dynamic Performance Control utilising rear axle variable torque distribution system, with display in instrument cluster .Eight-speed automatic transmission with electronic gear selector and Steptronic xDrive four-wheel-drive system with fully-variable torque split

erm - every car that i have ever owned has been able to do that. Including a 1979 Ford Fiesta when i was 17. Older cars will not stall if you are gentle on the clutch. Fancy cars or money have nothing to do with it, it's about being able to drive.

Spot on, my 25 year old Golf, of which the only fancy-dan electronics it has is a digital clock, will happily pull away in 1st on idle if I don't let the clutch out too quickly.
