Unfortunately nearly all the season ticket holders sitting around me are not renewing their ticket, which is a huge surprise as most have been holders for so long.

Not sure if I can afford it at this early stage either.

If there was a way of buying tickets for the same seat each week, that would be a much better idea.

Can anyone that's bought individual tickets tell me whether you can request a particular seat, or are you just given one?

Last season you got whatever you could in the postal ballot. I think this season because they are being sold at the shop you can at least have some choice, although Bournemouth was a sellout.
Which just goes to show there are fair weather fans. The nearer we get to the play off places the more demand for tickets there will be.

It looks like attendances are going to plummett then judging by this thread. I think the club have scored a massive own goal by forcing the issue so early.

After much soul searching I have decided to renew my ticket but am going halves with someone and we'll split the games between us.

Now if that isn't an argument waiting to happen I don't know what is!

As for myself I will be renewing at the end of this week. I wasn't going to as I've just bought a new house and times are hard. However, I've worked out a new budget around my season ticket. I've had to stop buying programs though! Mind you they're pretty shite reading anyway! Hmm links between the clubs! That's interesting!

For the first time in years I came close to not re-newing but it's become a habit ,-albeit a very expensive one, and I've gone ahead. As someone said to me - think of it as charity.

It'll be my largest charitable donation of the year by far.

It doesn't bother me this year but if I was still living there I wouldn't be renewing either. I find the robbing peter to pay paul approach for the even earlier renewals than the previous two seasons disturbing and wonder, when the cash runs out again, if season ticket renewals will be before Christmas next year.

I have renewed my season-ticket for a further three years, at a cost of £1120. That is about £1.23 for each day between now and the opening of the new stadium, hopefully.

Optimistic:

Meanwhile for 2003-4, Albion will be disappointed to have come very close to promotion via the play-offs this year. The new season starts off with a visit to Milton Keynes (who will go?). Albion have a clear out of 12 out of contract players and start the new cracking season with new seats at Withdean, new players, and visits of promotion contenders Hull City and QPR, and hopefuls Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County.

Their will be epic trips to Oxford, QPR, Luton, Swindon and Colchester and it is a pity that many of the teams are too far away.

Who is not going to renew?
