Don't ever get the bus back

I can't believe some people are moaning about having to wait for a bus. There were people in the queue for the Rottingdean/Shoreham buses saying that they expected to wait 10/15 minutes for a bus but not 30. It does not take a genius to work out that there are only so many buses and once they have left they will not be back until they have completed their route. In the case of the Shoreham buses about 45 minutes later. I normally stop for a drink after the game so it is not a problem although last night I went straight to the bus stop. My concern was the safety issues when the buses did return as everyone started moving forward on the road to catch a Rottingdean bus and when it left full there were 2 queues - Rottingdean on the road and others on the pavement. This meant that the next buses had trouble turning to get to the bus stop due to the people on the road. Also a Rottingdean and a Shoreham bus arrived together so you had those at the front of the Shoreham queue pushing to get back and across the Rottingdean queue to get to the Shoreham bus, whilst others were pushing forward to get on the Rottingdean bus. You also had those in the middle of the Shoreham queue trying to push through the Rottingdean queue to get to the Shoreham bus and those at the back of the queue went round the back of the Rottingdean queue which meant you had 3 queues converging on the Shoreham bus and there was a lot of pushing and a bit of a crush. As there were young kids and elderly people it was quite dangerous. I know it will take a couple of games to sort out and people should be patient but I am writing to the club to express my concerns purely from the safety point of view.

On last night's evidence, there aren't really enough buses though. When you use the Southampton or Colchester park and rides, they have LOADS queued up (I'd say 10 minimum). And they load several to each destination at once - "get on any bus" - so fewer people are sprawled out queuing and wait in the dry/warm instead in winter. Obviously our circumstances are different with a smaller area and more routes, but loading several buses at once would still help. They then all leave in convoy. And having a second wave waiting nearby would make it really slick.

Should use the same system for pouring the beer.
