I thought we had just agreed a future transfer rather than signed and loaned back. Even if he joined officially in the summer of 2017 he'll still be short of the 3 years at a club before his 21st birthday to qualify as home grown. Again, that's only how I understand it.

Under 21 this season. Envisaged him as a Calvert-Lewin type player and useful.

Pictures of solanke at Southampton airport. And Alan Nixon (isn't he quite reliable) suggesting he's going to bmuff on a perm deal.

Would make more sense. We can make do with Seagulls snubbed by Solanke headlines instead. The fact they were probably never true is neither here nor there...

Picture on Twitter of him at Southampton airport, maybe going to Bournemouth?

Top club, top fans, top manager....

:moo:

They do play a faster style possibly more suited to his skills. The did just offload Defoe, which frees up a squad space as well, if not the wages (I assume Rangers can't afford to pay ALL of it).

Why not Southampton, the club Liverpool plundered so many players from?

That's a nice straw to clutch at. I'm sure there must be some direct flights to LGW.

Sorry to quote myself, but the only direct flights NW to 'London' are between Heathrow and Manchester, so why the hell not.
