And why not?

I would imagine a majority of electors in most constituencies would bring back hanging. And MPs resist it.

If only more had the balls to oppose this absurd suicidal brexit bollocks.

If my MP stood on hanging and I voted him in, I'd rightly be pissed off if he turned all hippy in the house. This ain't that. Not event Boris stood on a Brexit platform in the election but one ago
They didn't give us a vote on hanging (I'm just stating that as a fact, not as any opinion on the subject). They did vote to let the public decide on staying in the EU or leaving, and now they're welching. Liars and cheats, untrustworthy the lot of 'em.

Indeed. In the case of hanging, parliament ensured they wouldn't let the bloodthirsty and medaevil element in society pursue its brainless 'agenda'. Unfortunately, in the case of Europe, the feckless dilettante, Cameron, decided to use the public as a stick with which to bludgeon his Euroskeptics. And failed.

Letting the public vote in a referendum was, is, and always will be the wrong way to determine single issues. It is acceptable only (in a version thereof) as a means of electing MPs. Once every five years. With the option after 5 years to change one's mind.

Anyway, you and I will never agree on this. That said, we have far far more in common than we differ. All the best

Just written to him to thank him for his efforts so far on Brexit, a true patriot putting his country before his broken party

Maybe at home he is. But he stood in front of his local association pre 2017 GE and stood on the conservative manifesto (same as Labour in this area) and told them he would work to implement the referendum result and to deliver the Brexit result people voted for. No sooner he's voted in and he's one man crusade using all sorts of chicanery to do everything in his power to overturn brexit and he's consistently defied his parties 3 line whip. I have zero sympathy for him, he is getting what his actions deserve.
