Doing "stuff" on your own

I like to go to the gym on my own, go for a walk, go for a run, go shopping, go for a drive and blast a few tunes...

I wouldn't really enjoy eating out on my own or drinking in a pub (unless it was a swift pint while I was waiting for someone). If I wanted to read whilst I was drinking I'd just do it in my house. Cheaper too!

Going to the cinema - I prefer watching films on my own and driving on my own so technically I should enjoy the cinema on my own but I wouldn't ever go on my own to be honest. I wouldn't think it's sad if I saw someone on their own but I just wouldn't myself.

I don't like being on my own in a pub even if it's just waiting five mins for someone else to turn up.
Maybe I should be less punctual but then I'd miss out on drinking time

I do loads on my own- gym, pub, cinema, shopping, holidays, the lot. I think it makes you a far stronger person to do all those things alone. I worry about those people that always have to be in a relationship or with someone, it is almost like they fear their own company.

Same here. I've done all the things you mention on my own and through choice. I like sharing experiences but I equally love some "me time." In fact I'm off for a week on my own at the end of this month.

sitting in a proper pub on your own, with a good pint or 3, and having time to think/reflect is one of life's greatest pleasures.

Pubs - regularly but then I'm friends with loads of bar staff - that said I often drop in for a beer at a random pub near a cinema when I go to the cinema on my own (which I am the majority of times I go to the cinema). Gigs wise half the time I go with someone, half the time I don't but normally bump into friends anyway.

Restaurants, lunchtimes I try out new place on my own from time to time

Then again I don't really like company

As someone pointed out, going to the pub is to socialise, and as I personally have the social skills of a hat stand, I tend to not go to the pub now, unless it is for a soul night or the like

I never thought I would ever go and do "stuff " on my own as thought it was sad and actually felt sorry for people when saw them on their own. However, my job now means that I'm abroad often And therefore I'm forced to do stuff on my own and see it as normality now. I'll happily go into a restaraunt now and ask for a table for one and go to a pub on my own. Although I am yet to FO to the cinema on my own but If I really wanted to see something and none of my friends didn't I would go alone for sure.

Trouble is if I do pop out for a couple on my own then it is normally to my local so you're never on your tod for long. Nothing better than a day fishing on your own though and then I really don't want company.

Oh and self abuse........ That is better when one relaxes on their own.
