[Albion] Does Potter have a clue ?

Again , my question is around changing 3 of the back 4 that started the last game. Potter did and the first half was a woeful, defensively.

He made changes and we drew thanks to an OG but I still question the original decision. Duffy looked miles off match fitness

Duffy was there to deal with Deeney who is up there with the top goal scorers in the last few games, did Deeney even have a shot? Job done, decision to play him totally justified.

You are pissing in the wind here imo

Potter seems to manage reactively rather that proactively. I’m beginning to think he is out of his depth.

My bad. Brilliant performance and a great point. Nothing to worry about

If I may expand on the question, does Potter know what his best XI is? I'd suggest no, which is worrying this far into the season.

As I said on another thread - the biggest issue was Mooy as Stephens - hopeless. Much better with Gross then Alzate even better.
Duffy is a better defender than Webster is just now, so happy with that. Burn did well enough. Not sure I would have changed so many - starting Scholotto and March as well seemed risky.

I’ve just heard Watford fans saying we battered them & they were lucky to get a point. They reckon they’re going down.

Any chance we could aim for a settled side, just so the players could get used to playing with each other, barring injuries and suspensions of course ?

I'm beginning to think Potter is the Emporer's New Clothes. I'll admit to seeing our naked shitness as a Versace suit but then I'm not paid a telephone number salary to recognise it unlike Dan Ashworth.

I worry about two things:

1. Potter changing the team too often.
2. We dominate possession but without creating chances.

Against that we show real progression in our play and we look a better more accomplished side than last year and we have the same points as last season. It's not a black and white situation clearly, and we are a work in progress but overall I think we are heading in the right direction. It's too late to make a change now anyway and why would we? Changing from our style of play, lowering the age of the squad, bringing through youth, entertaining football and actual progression up the league rather than just survival, all of this was never going to be straightforward or immediate. We need to show some patience as a fan base.

I’ve said it before and will probably say it again, but if you are going to come on here, starting a thread criticising players, at least do them the courtesy of spelling their names right!

Two out of three ain’t bad
