I’m not religious in the slightest, I have no problem with those who are whatever their religion or denomination but am far too cynical to have faith or believe in the afterlife such as heaven or reincarnation.

I believe that in a way I’ll enjoy eternal life through my children and the generations that follow, as little bit of my DNA and to an extent my personality will carry on through to them.
That is a nice thought, its true as well.

I didn't want to say anything on the thread yesterday announcing his death, but I have a real problem with people committing suicide. I think it's the ultimate act of selfishness. No matter how bad your life is, you have to consider all the hurt you leave behind to your loved ones and the people who have to pick up the pieces. I have experience of this. Appologies but it's just how I feel.

This is how I’ve always felt about ‘eternal’ life, despite being raised a Christian and going to church every Sunday till I was 15.

I would have thought you'd be more understanding then.

The only sure thing is that everyone will disagree on this subject. There aint no afterlife or any such thing as a soul. There you go.

..make any one wonder where his soul has gone or indeed where anyones soul goes when they die. And I'm not trying to tarnish his death or anything but curious question.

I suffer from depression daily, but live in hope it will get better and eventually I'll control it rather than vice versa.

But I've never contemplated suicide, nor would I. But my reasons are that it would be an insult to my creator if I did and my hell but be even bigger if I took my own life and it would be irreversible. At least while you're still alive every passing second is another chance to turn it all around.

What the f*** are you talking about?

Ask your creator..... he`ll be able to answer all your questions I`m sure.

I'm not sure if my soul could cope with meeting the souls of all the Chickens, Pigs and Fish I've released.... and yes, there were a few Soles in that lot

Jesus said " i am the way the truth and the light , nobody comes to the father but through me " we have to learn about Jesus and why he was sent to earth and his goodness and love for us and death for us , when we truly feel the truth in our hearts and accept the Lord in our lives then you truly have eternal life .

Cant get my head around this! absolutely gutting! things just dont add up which is the hard bit! to do it in the way he did usually points towards someone who has thought about it before and actually knows how to do it or takes time to set up! it's really disturbing!

I'm very understanding. To the people who are left behind. A wife has lost her husband, a father has lost his son. And worst of all 2 boys have lost their father. And all have not only lost someone they love dearly but will be wracked with guilt for the rest of their life that they could have done something more or better to help, which of course they probably couldn't. He seemed a lovely guy, but I think it's unforgivable to do that to your loved ones.

So Jesus was like God`s agent as well as his son then. You had to go through him to get a word in with the boss man like.

Could have been worse he could have jumped in front of a train and made a few of NSC posters a bit late home.

I doubt if he was coming from a rational viewpoint here Rowley.
