Does Eddie Izzard deserve the label 'genius'

Izzard is definitely a modern day comedy genius. Never seen the guy live, but been watching his stuff on youtube and have rarely laughed so much at a stand up.

That makes around 3 minutes to get one laugh from me. Gotta say 'not a genius imho'.

Much prefer Craig Ferguson, who is on US telly on weekday evenings. Jay Leno is also good.

Like Ricky Gervais, something of a matter of personal taste. I find him amusing but not my idea of a genius.
