I disagree, Potter will send him out there to feel the love, which I really hope he does, great man management if he does. Cucu could of course go very Spanish, throw a strop and refuse to play.

Edit

How wrong can I be? Not even in the squad :lolol:

Maybe he did refuse to play

I’m pretty sure we had no intention of putting the lad in today.

Well, I finally called something right... doubt we’ll see him for quite a while, if ever - well except when we play City. Sigh.

He’ll be back in September if, as expected, Citeh don’t offer Tony what he wants. The low-balling ****s!

Nothing has changed. If City reach our valuation he’ll go. If they don’t, he won’t.

Today is about prepping the lads for the new season. If Cucu played, all eyes would be on him, and that’s not fair to the lad OR the rest of the team. Quite frankly the football would be a sideshow if he played. Plus there’s always the chance that some elements of our support would give him a hard time.

Correct call by the club and GP.

It would have been amazing if he was available today.

Transfer request handed in yesterday
Effectively rejected today.

Very few players would shrug that off.

Expect him to be pissed off with the club for a couple of weeks.
Then pissed off with his agent if the deal doesn't happen.

If he stays I expect him to knuckle down and prove to the world he's a £60m player.

Hopefully, but it’ll be hard for Marc, after all this isn’t Fulham it’s City, Pep ... the whole gravy train... not sure the player staying and us prevailing over his value is actually a win win situation.

However, I’ll reserve judgement until the facts present themselves.

Right now I’m looking forward to a Gross playing as a WB again ... gulp.

Groß wing-back?

Not sure.

I think Sir Potter will play this:

-————————-Sanchez————————
——-Veltman———Dunk——-Webster——-
March—Mwepu—-Mac—Caicedo—Trossard
—————————-Groß——————————
—————————Welbeck————————-

He has realised that Hughton found Pascal’s best position many years ago!

Again, I hope so... although I prefer Leo in behind Welbz but I guess we go with what we’ve got :)

Playing snooker
he needs our love.

Does he? ???

I wouldn’t boo him and I don’t blame him for wanting to leave for a club challenging for major honours every season. But putting in a transfer request 11 months into a 5 year contract to try and force a move is pretty shabby in my view. Loyalty only works if it’s a 2 way street otherwise you end up looking like a ****.

Kind of depends on the nature of the transfer request, doesn't it? I mean "Hey Tony if you could sort out the thing with City, I'd be grateful" is one type of transfer request, "Hey Tony either you move me to City or I'll sit and CRY for four years" is another.

Yes he does. His head will seriously be all over the place as would mine in his place. City have been scum over this, essentially using the Pep (probably one of his heroes) card and topping up
up with the (you'll win trophies at City) cards to try and bully us in to accepting less than he is worth to us. Not to mention his 4 more years on contract.

I'm in a similar place, we don't know all the details but I have lost that love I had for him before all this sh1t kicked off. I would never boo him whilst our player but it just sums up how distance players are from the fans in the modern business, sorry game.

I’m only joking about the boo (always found an adult booing quiet a strange concept) BUT is there any alternative ? Like if a person who you feel has wronged you walked in to a room and you walk out just so they know you’re a bit annoyed, a passive aggressive act if you will.

This! By a curious irony couldn't we come up with a modified version of the Poznan? A choreographed huffy flounce! :p
