I'm sure there was a shop that got trashed in Peterborough, in fact I know there was if you know what I mean!
Everyone mobbed up in the car park after the game and marched in to Peterborough town centre, pubs around the ground were lively before the game

Yes you are right. The shopping centre was over run with Brighton fans. Lively all over the place that day. I had a brother who lived up there and said it had been widely reported in the local media. Thousands up there that day. Snow on pitch, orange ball.

I remember both fans charging eachother at oxford only for the old bill to appear grrrr...That police escort all the way to the stadium and back took forever although I was a teen then.Thats the only time i recall being escorted to and from a stadium.

That's when we had a run in with Millwall at Euston on the way up, the only thing that saved us if I remember was Palace turning up! An old Millwall lad called 'Tiny' (Now on the great terrace in the sky) scared the shite out of me as a young 17 year old!

I remember Northampton charging down the pitch at full time, getting as far as the half way line then veering off to the sides - Mayhem that day.

Huddersfield home during the miners strike @84? Away end was pretty much full. With the strike going on I think it was also TUC conference In the town and the away support was bolstered by a few extra miners. After they were escorted to Hove station and when they reached the top of the steps a certain Brighton fan launched himself on top of the Huddersfield fans. He managed to get a few punches in and was then dragged away by police. Continued into Hove station and police dogs were busy.
