Oh no !
Burgess hill going to croydon could be a mad one
cheers rev. Were you part of that?
Does anyone remember a game against mansfield, maybe a bit ealrier than that, where there was a small mob that were not brighton (not sure if they were actually mansfield or another team come for some fun, as they didnt sing). They started in the south stand and decided it was best not to be there, so moved to the south west. I remember some of the south stand crew following them round and laying into them; i particulalrly remember a black chap from their mob looking scared and being knocked virtually in the air.
A character involved in that, and often around the south stand, had long hair, 70s sideboards and often wore a leather overcoat. Does this ring any bells with anyone?
Only in brightonI remember when we played Arsenal in the FA cup at the Goldstone...89, 88? Niall Quin header won it for them.
Any road. Later that night I was in the Laines drinking with some other Albion in the black lion when someone outside threw a dartboard through the window, we all look out and see a mob of arsenal wilding down the street waving for sale signs about. About ten of our lads came out and started calling them back...and back they came. Ugly scenes followed. It's offing
All over middle street and surrounds when suddenly the arsenal lads decide to leg it...you'll never guess why...there were a trio of trannies in full drag who appeared and started laying into them too. It was the most bizarre thing I'd ever seen.

I believe so, anything else to addWas that 87ish, beat them 2-1?
yes sten, you're right, very confusing, believe it or not i was in the north that day, don't think brighton were in there just Chelsea and Pompey for what ever reason as you say Villa didn't know what was going onYep, reading through this thread gets the mind thinking back, one game I remember think it was against villa when few Pompey turned up in pen(away end) few of the lads on east side decide to join them in there, was abit of a standoff with villa doing nothing, think few brighton chanting Chelsea as well all very confusing they were mainly skins from east side , expect Das can shed some light on this one.

i remember an evening game with northampton, might have been the friday one not sure, the game had started and a handful of us were still in the Cliftonville drinking and chatting, out of nowhere a sizeable group of northampton whirlwinded themselves into the pub and introduced themselves in a somewhat non polite fashion.
