Surely it is time for the chairman to come out with some sort of statement of intent or plan or explanation 1/3 of the way through the season. Has he said ANYTHING about the club since July ?.

Again his different style. I think Knight was guiolty of saying too much to the press a lot of the time, and just because we haven't heard from Bloom doesn't mean he and the board are formulating a contingency plan if things don't improve soon.

I could understand him sacking Slade but would also say that I really want Slade to do well so will be supporting him and the team on Saturday if he is still in charge.
With respect, do you honestly think that there's a Brighton fan who wouldn't also want "Slade to do well"? And do you think that there's a football club anywhere in the world where a shoddy start to the season like ours wouldn't lead to questions being asked about the manager by the fans? Which planet wouldn't that happen on?

Everytime i post something you allways have a go :US:

Its a Fecking joke you muppet Gamble, twist, joker :US:

And anyway fantastic job bollox, lets be honest we scrapped through....I recall several other results going our way in the run in, he hardly took over and won every bloody game. Anyway just because he saved us does NOT GIVE HIM THE RIGHT TO STAY NO MATTER WHAT !!

There is no sign of improvement as regards the RESULTS which is where it counts :US:

Or maybe you are happy for us to go into next months tuff fixtures and then we all wake up in mid december rooted in the relegation dogfight.......

IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT CAUSE THAT'S WHAT E'LL APPEN

Scrapped through? But we won quite a few games on the go? He took, in my opinion, the worst team in the league and he kept us up. He did it, and you must give him credit for that.

It doesn't give him the right to stay no matter what, but nothing has really happened has it? All it does is show us that he is a good manager and gives us a bit more faith in giving him time to get things right.

Firstly, remind of all the times I have had a go at you for posting something. I may have done it once but certainly not on a regular basis.

Secondly, read my post again. I did not have a go at you for wanting him out (I am moving towards that view myself now) but for calling him a "joker". I feel after what he achieved last year (and he did really well to keep us up despite what you may think) he deserves a bit more respect than that even if him going is for the best.

We did scrape through or Oh did i forget we stayed up by 9pts did we ?
No we did not !
Yes we had a good old run towards the end, and it took him time to get that right also owuso had a tremendous amount of input in the results. He does deserve credit and i wanted / want him to do well, However he has taken more time so far this season with a team he has built. Than at the end of last season when he had to work with players left to him. Somethings not right, The discipline, defence, etc etc its just not working. Blind faith will not get us anywhere and i want the best for this club, i like many here even finchley seagull am fed up with the Albion in a shit stadium, watching a shit team in a shit division .............I WANT THE GLORY DAYS BACK AND SLADE A'INT THE MAN in my humble opinion.

So is this the beginning of your next negative campaign? Slade out then mix it up with Bloom? Really unhelpful.
Do you honestly think that Bloom invests £90m and then loses interest?
Does it not take balls to invest in our club what he has?
Sorry, but what a shite thread.

Looking at the delight some people have in having a go at Slade and the team after games, I do wonder sometimes.

Agree with that, Bloom needs to do SOMETHING, if he is still backing Slade I think he neds to come out and say so- and if not, he needs to sack him.

Ah sorry I misread what you said- I read "scrapped" when you clearly meant "scraped", was just a typo..

Looking at the delight some people have in having a go at Slade and the team after games, I do wonder sometimes.

Do you honestly believe that ?. I mean the Norwich City manager had 10 times the abuse and season tickets ripped up in his face after the FIRST game of the season. They won the 2nd game, a cup game 4-1 and he was still sacked after ONE league game.

Slade has had 14 legaue games and lost at the first try in both cups.

Do you honestly think the manager would not being criticised by now in any football team, anywhere in the World ?.

Based also on having about the 3rd highest money to spend in this division and play off expectations.

By saying nothing publicly Bloom is actually saying everything. He trusts the man he gave a contract to in the summer and has faith in him to get it right. He has looked at Slades record at other clubs and decided that this is the man to stick with. I'm sure words have been said behind the scenes which is where they should stay.

Of course I could be wrong and he is currently at the Uni handing out P45s

9 managers in 9 seasons, might as well make it 10 eh, a nice round number. Then if he's not won more than 3 games in his first 14, we sack him and start looking for number 11. Then we give him till the end of the season, and if we've gone down, or only won say 2 in 10, then we sack him and get someone in for the start of next season. If then by the end of next October we're mid-table or worse, we sack him. Lets just keep sacking and sacking and sacking.

Because as history shows, having a healthy turnover of managers always works so well in the long run, doesn't it.

Do you not get that we would be in League Two this season if it wasn't for him? Playing f***ing Grimsby? For Christ sake, I don't care if he should go now or not, at least show a bit of respect.
