bonjela stinks don't use it. You will have no friends.
Best prevention is apparently sleep.
As for cure, I use mouthwash and in the morning it's much better.

Bonjela normally blasts the little bastards after a day or so. I also find that chilling out for an evening and getting a good night's sleep works well, as for me they are nearly always linked with stress at work...

Yeah, bonjela. It's more of a pain-killer than a cure I've found but it does have anti-biotics in it to cure the infection.

Lick your finger, dip it in salt then stick it on the ulcer. Stings like hell and makes tyour eyes water but swear it clears up quicker.

I suffer really badly with them. The best thing is something from the doctors with a steroid in it. The stuff is digusting but it does work, you can only really use it on at night though

Also - problem with bonjela is you tend to jab at the ulcer with a dirty finger.

Get some of the liquid antiseptic from the chemist, apply with a cotten bud and then throw the thing away.

And they were right above - get some sleep, don't drink and look after yourself. I always get them when I tired and run down.

Also crush some aspirin, ibuprofen etc.. and gargle it with water. That really does relief the pain for longer than bonjela.

I eat very healthily but still get them.

There used to be a product on the market like bonjela, which dried and created a seal over the ulcer.

It was fantastic and lasted for hours - no pain at all.

Does any remember that Hangover cure called "feeling great" that used to available but was taken off the market.

Now that was fantastic.

Smear the ulcer with french mustard, and then strum it vigorously with a paper clip. It won't actually help, but it does at least provide me with a mildy amusing mental image of you doing it.
