I just had to check my phone to know it actually isn’t 😂

No, It's Wednesday.

Ah..... I see what you did there...

It is for me, I live in the future :ROFLMAO:

Today is Wednesday. I have not questioned that. Until it isn't, of course. Which it isn't.

It appears to be Thursday. I now have to do some work this evening that is always done earlier in the day in preparation for my team tomorrow.

All this has come about because I found myself off my schedule and doing a project for three days. My brain still thinks a day has been lost somewhere. I am still having to keep checking that tomorrow is Friday. I am that puzzled. But anyway, I'll assume that the world isn't playing a joke on me and work on the idea it is indeed Thursday. I think.

All this is recoverable. But has anyone ever utterly embarrassed themselves other than admitting to be a stupid, dopey, donkey on a football forum ?

Not a time and day thing, but an embarrassing moment.

Starkers (with a mate) in a ski resort hotel sauna, when other guests arrived in swim gear. We hadn’t realised that Italy didn’t share the spa etiquette of Germanic/Nordic nations. That was an awkward exit!
Is it double entendre week? ;)

I forgot the day today.

It was world book day.

All the kids dressed up….except mine. Embarrassing.

Here’s the weather with Sylvester Stewart.

Knowing Eeyore, this would explain some things...
Maybe you were abducted by aliens?
When I was a kid my parents were never bothered about me being abducted by anyone. If it happened, said individual would be handing themselves in at the Police Station within 20 minutes demanding to be arrested and placed in a cell as far away from me as possible. I never shut up.

I think with aliens it would be more likely a quick drop off back at my flat and a promise not to return- after reluctantly accepting a copy of bus times and a run down of passenger trends at the stop across the road.

Ive travelled a lot.... different countries etc... time zones, blah de blah. And yet, for some reason, 25 years ago, when going for a day trip on the ferry from Newhaven to Calais with my wife, small son, and in-laws....I sort of "assumed" (without really thinking about it) that because it was a day trip only, the return times on the ticket were ALSO Uk times.
There was an awful realisation as it dawned on me, and I turned to my father in law and said "dont tell the women yet - but I think our ferry has just gone - finish your drinks and lets get back to the car".
Sure enough - pulled up at the ferry port to find it was all closed up, and the last ferry had gone. I had to drive up to Boulogne I think, to get a ferry over, and we got home at about 3 in the morning. Nobody was impressed. Such a dumb mistake.

Since doing shift work, I forget what day it is quite often.
I once took over from a chap who was covering the 5am > 1pm shift. I wished him a good day and set about my work.

5:30 that afternoon he came bounding back in apologising for being late. He was quite embarrassed when he realised he was in fact over 11 hours early.

I still don’t understand how he’d managed to fight his way through the rush hour traffic still believing it was the early hours of the morning. But it gave us a bit of a laugh.

Embarrassing moment?
well I’ve had many over the years but the most remarkable was when I was at my ex’s parents house one weekend when her cousin was down from Scotland with her husband. All was going well until the cousin had a bit of cake and had an anaphylactic shock. That got sorted and we sat down to watch the open on TV. Nick Faldo was doing well in the Open with his new female caddie. I commented that I bet his old one must be bloody pissed off. The guy turned round and said “yes, that was me”.

I once turned up at Dublin airport for my flight home, to find I was a day early.

There are worse places than Dublin when you have an unexpected free day
