Does anyone else watch Outnumbered?

I think this is one of the best BBC Comedy's for absolutely years.

they interviewed Hugh Dennis the other day and he was saying that the adult actors are all given lines, but the children in the show improvise. A producer/director sits just off set and will call the kids over during a scene and whisper some idea into the kids ears and let them get on with it.

The bit last week in the airport was terrific, especially where the little girl and Dennis ( the dad) were having a discussion about Bad People and the first suggestion she made was that we should kill all bad people. The dad suggested that would make us bad people too, so she suggested that we should put all bad people in a room with knives stuck on their bodies and they would all bump into eachother and therefore kill eachother.

Its was just so surreal.

Hi David,

Thanks for bringing these youtube clips to my attention. I've seen Outnumbered on only one occasion and very much enjoyed the show. Hugh Dennis normally pisses me off as he is quite lanky and I don't get on that well with lanky people. The children are fun aren't they!

I hope to catch some more episodes if they are available on that iplayer thing.

Just bought it on DVD after reading this thread. I never saw it on TV. Just watched the first episode which was alright although from reading this thread it must get much better.

Yes, have seen a couple of episodes, didn't know about them not scripting the kids lines...that makes it even better, pretty brave by the BBC...even if they have descended into the phone voting mire it looks like comedy is still alive and well in their hands!
