Does anyone else feel carefree about this season?

Feeling a bit sad at the moment after how good the Gus years were, but still believe we could have that with Oscar. Will take a long time with a midtable budget though, and yet again shows how Gus overachieved year in, year out. Ho hum.

Nope. I would say the delay is getting a second opinion on bad news, the optimist in me hopes it's a case of finalising a loan deal to soften the blow of confirming long term ulloa absence with confirmation of another striker on loan.

Surely a fracture is a fracture and shows up on an xray. Scans obviously take a bit longer.

The dull part of the south coast
This season we are not expected to go higher than 13th (according to some pundits), so maybe a time to relax and enjoy without the pressure. I think it will take Oscar most of the season to mould a team to his liking, plus we have some many key players injured that has had an effect on our performances.

Yes, last night was frustrating but I feel that at least we are moving in the right direction. Remember, Rome was not built in a day.

Give Oscar the financial backing Gus had and the freedom to choose his own players and he may be just as good, maybe better. Gus wanted out and I'd suggest he knew he couldn't improve with FFP coming in. Who's to say we'd be doing any better this season with Gus??? We will never know but Oscar has his hands tied in a way I don't think Gus ever did imo.

Not always the case. Might be waiting for an MRI or CT instead of the standard X-Ray.

Assuming it's a fracture. X-ray may show no fracture, scan may show something else. Maybe want a second opinion on the severity, time of recovery, suggested resolution (i.e. rest for a couple of weeks v surgery with months of rehab) etc. Don't want to spend a few hundred grand bringing in a loanee for 3 months if he only needs two weeks rest.

We improved every single year without fail under Gus. Everything pointed to us going one better with Ulloa for a whole season. Who knows? Perhaps Gus went because he knew we weren't going to have a realistic budget to compete this season, as it seems has come true.

I don't disagree. But Oscar has only had Ulloa for about 50% of his games so far...

Fair point. I'm not anti-Oscar whatsoever. I reckon we'll do good with him in time.

I thought we were told that it was the same budget. Whether that budget is realistic is another debate, including have we wasted money on Agustien, etc.

As long as we play football and win a few games, and do not hoof the ball around, I do not really care how we do in the league to be honest. Obviously I want success but it is not everything to me.

The most curious thing..
The absolutely worst thing is when so-called professional football players play like numkins and put no effort into the game.

Give me a Gary Hart and an Alex Revell every time over this season's version of Spanish Dave and Mr Bruno. You knew with OGH and Revell they were giving 100% all the time and, personally, I like that in a footballer.
Revell might have given 100% but it was 100% of nothing.

I don't think Agustien played that badly, he showed some good things, but was often not passed to when he had the space, or passed to when he was isolated and without any help around him.

Also what we have saved in the last transfer window will be added to the January one.

Wow. Did he really score that many goals?

I quite liked Revell - he was the original headless chicken, and I always think of him whenever people post about CMS being a headless chicken. I admired his ability for winding up opposition defenders - there was nothing subtle about it, yet he always seemed to get away with it.
