well what do you think ?

personally I thought he was a disgrace, totally biased towards the home nation, if it had been Pierluigi Collina officiating we'd have at least had a fair chance of winning

WE never sent them home....their results in the group stage sent them home. Somewhat like Hereford United-always claim we sent them down but their performance over the whole season sent them down.

However, if he gets a game involving France and treats them the same as he did us-then I might subscribe to your theory:cool:

we didnt play well, but if we'd had an impartial referee we'd have probably gone through . . .Portugal arent that good a team at all . . .more like a bunch of mismatched primadonnas and Sardine fishermen soaked in olive oil

Falmer, soon...
I thought he was not very good.

I'm not talking about the Campbell incident, which we've all seen go either way, I'm talking about the numerous unpunished fouls against Beckham and Vassell in particular.

Not only that, but his ability to get in the way was second to none.

Having said that, I had portugal to win.

that doesnt excuse the referee from being a limp wristed bottler, we did (very marginally) enough to win the game and he made sure we didnt

we have to stop blaming everything else. Yes the ref was an officious w***er, but campbells goal was disallowed because of his foul on a defender not on the keeper. we were just shit.......... again.

The referee was very one sided, gave us nothing all night. Even William Hill are paying out on Sol Campbells goal today as they strongly disagree with the decision made. During 1st half Extra-Time he started bottling all decisions but soon went back on the side of Portugal. :censored:
