Can't wait for tonight now and glad that there hasn't been any spoilers leaked this week.

Must be a good 10 to 20 years since a programme with this many viewers honestly don't have a clue on the final outcome of a story line is going to be.

According to a report on some TV show yesterday, can't remember what it was. They said only FOUR people in the world have seen the final episode in it's finished form.

Not watching Doctor Who, but speaking to my dad last night and he said that one of the four will die, if that's the case then it's quite obvious who it is, as they said they're only doing one more series.

John Simm, Paul McGann, Peter Davison and Sylvester McCoy have all been rumoured to be the "new" doctor. If indeed there is a new doctor.

They're doing a Christmas special this year, 3 or 4 feature-length specials next year and then another full series in 2010 at least, so I can't see that anything is really 'obvious' at this stage.

Can't wait for tonight, hope it lives up to the build-up. :)

As has also been said here, I think it's great that nothing's been leaked out about what's going to happen.

No one's said there's only one more series. There are 4 specials next year and a series in 2010. Having a 2010 series already confirmed is very rare in TV. It'll go on beyond 2010 for sure.

With regards to Tennants future - there was some stuff in the press some weeks ago - which if you'd seen, would suggest something. I won't mention it now in case some people didn't see it and don't want to know.

I'd guess the possible outcomes are: One, is he doesn't regenerate for some random reason linked to his hand in the jar. Two, is he does regenerate but he keeps the same physical form (he's never done this before but his daughter in this series and Romana(?) in the classic series did. Three, he does regenerate and we have a new doctor. Four, he does regenerate but by the end of the episode we have a big "reset" to put things back into order and DT comes back (a bit like last years final). Which would lead to loads of fan fic of the Doctor who never was or something.

Anyway, it should be good. I expect plenty of deaths tonight. How will Sarah Jane escape those Daleks? Would love it if she drove into them or K9 shot them. :clap2:

They doing the specials next year then there will be a 5th series in 2010. I believe this is the only show so far that has been commissioned and will definelty be on our screens that year.
Obviously stuff like Eastenders and the like will be on but most programmes get commissioned on a yearly basis, but just goes to show how much support the BBC are putting into the show to be giving the green light to something we aren’t going to see for another two years.

Who will be around for quite along time yet!

No, what I meant was the character said they were only doing one more series, which is this one on now.

Is there someone else we know is returning who we've not seen yet? Sarah-Jane, Martha, Rose, Jack...who else would it be?

Is there someone really obvious who I haven't named and I'm just being stunningly dense?

Who's to say (pun intended) that any talk by Tennant or anyone else that he's leaving/only doing one more/whatever else hasn't been deliberately done to make people think one thing when the truth is something else entirely?

Two, is he does regenerate but he keeps the same physical form (he's never done this before but his daughter in this series and Romana(?) in the classic series did.

Romana DID regenerate, but took the form of a character whose appearance she liked.

Think Sarah Jane gets saved by Mickey, as both are shown in 8 second trailer
