As previousely mentioned, a tad too much of a prima donna. By the way I'm not seeing too much wishfull thinking for the likes of Murray maybe the team is evolving beyond expectations! For me the my only slight concern is the 30 plus club appears to be growing...

Not quite sure how people can make such a damning assessment in one game where the guy was totally starved of service and his team outplayed.

He was pretty quiet, but even then he would have scored but for a worldy from Tomasz, and had a decent shot just after that.

You could have made the same assessment of CMS from a lot of matches last season, if that was the only one you watched, he did nothing, but now we're creating more and he's thriving.

Bothroyd can be lazy, and has attitude 'form'. But he is good technically on the deck as well as in the air, and it's a personal view, but I think Gus and our team would get a lot more out of him then we saw last night.

He looked out of shape IMO and short of match sharpness - I still think he can do a job for Wednesday, but I don't regret him not signing for us.

I watched him closely - made very little effort - he's only there for the dosh!

Totally agree. I turned to my brother after 5 minutes and said that from his body language he didn't look as if he wanted to be there....that was before we started to move up the gears!!!!! I think he turned up on the pitch looked around and thought "what the f*** have I done". Thank f*** for that the lardy prima donna(kebab).

Very glad we didn't sign him. He's always been one of those players who moans when things aren't going his way and last night proved it. Poor service - yes. Outclassed by the opposition - yes. His response? Total lack of effort and an obvious mardy sulk.

We had a mate of mine who is a Wednesday fan with us last night and he was in compete agreement. Very disappointed in his performance and even more disappointed in his attitude.

Talking to a couple of Wendy fans on the P&R bus back last night and even they said they wished they hadn't signed him!

Always felt that he was a player who only bothered when he felt like it, which might not be very often, and needed to be "the star" in the club.

Impressed with his skill last night - that one good header and a dinked cross that deserved to create a goal showed what he has ability wise and his positional play was exceptional. Couple of naughty pushes and some other nonsense in the box rather endeared him to me - we lack that element of someone putting themselves about physically sometimes. Overall though he came across as just not prepared to commit the energy to match his undoubted ability.

Compare that to the high octane performances that Gus requires and recieves from CMS/Barnes/Bridcutt............... and I think I am delighted to have got Dobbie instead!

EDIT: In fairness to Bothroyd, I think Rugrat has it right. I was nervous about whether Bridge would have the committment that a side like ours needs and look how wrong he has proved me!

I wasn't disappointed he chose Wednesday over us but he didn't do a lot on friday. Passing judgement on a player after one game is never the best, when we saw Ryan Harley play against us at Exeter we thought he looked a great player. I'd still like to sign a target man as the more options you have the better.

Were we definitely in for Bothroyd? I assumed we didn't make a move as didn't want a short term loan deal.
