I have a very nice but old fashioned style Omega Seamaster that my Grandfather gave to me although I will never wear it, a: I don't like the style (Gold with a brown leather strap and slimline)

After your initial post about the wedding ring and watch only, I was thinking that maybe i had misjudged you previously, and then you go and do this. (I have worn a gold slimline Omega with brown leather strap for the last 30 years!).

Got married in 1997 , went on honeymoon in Canada. Got stoned first night and lost my wedding ring in the snow. Didn't replace it.
This year at Download , my wife dragged me into one of the festival tents selling rings (I was drunk) . She said choose one !
We are both now wearing identical heavy metal stylee rings , and I love it. £15 quid each , bargain .

I also wear a watch, and a chain around my neck - aside from the watch, all three items are of sentimental value and I care far more for that than the aesthetics.

Thanks Greens :(
Only wear a rubber/nylon strapped watch now, having arced a metal banded one across the solenoid of an Austin 1100 many years ago when working under the bonnet, causing a nasty burn to my wrist :eek:uch: Silver 4mm. plain band ring, second finger, right hand as well :)

Never used to wear a watch, but I find it an essential accessory working in a school. It comes off when I walk out the school gates.

My necklace is a little trinket from Malawi and I haven't convinced a lady to marry me yet, so no rings.

Thanks, breakfast is currently heading northwards.

I think the same thing happened to a goalie (amateur level) many years ago when he jumped to make a save and his ring got caught in whatever was holding the net to the crossbar.

I heard a similar story but the keeper was putting up the nets before a match and his ring got caught on the net hook and ripped his finger off.

I dont wear a rings as i am using tools all day and a ring would be damaged in no time.
