Can't say I do. I've yet to hear or read a Scot who wants England to progress and frankly I imagine most Scots generally don't want England to do well. Luckily they are shite and play like a team of Div 1 scufflers, so the thread is academic. Mind you, England also look shite and it will be sheer good fortune if Southgate stumbles upon a winning formula from his team, of highly polished turds.

The Avenue then Maloncho
I hope Scotland progress about as much as the average Scottish fan hopes England progress.
I love the way this is constantly plugged as a one way street. Walking back from my lunchtime six pints from The Avenue half an hour ago (it’s on the coast road in Peacehaven) some driver spotted my shirt and took the trouble to slow down so his passenger could shout “Scottish bastard” at me. I took it as a compliment really 🤣🤣

I have no problem with Scotland progressing. If they do it will down to merit, which is more than can be said for England's team of zombies staggering in to the next round.

No thanks,.. it's the tribal beauty of footy, you can wish all sorts of misfortune on your rivals/opponents without actually hating that particular country or it's countrymen.... ( .. I do however find it hard to love anything Welsh... but that could be born out of my 30 years of playing rugby here in the West Country... )
I used to go to the "Welsh language evenings" with the university Welsh Society when I was in Bristol.
Now, maybe it helped that they held this at the pound a pint night at the White Harte, but I always found the Welsh entirely friendly and lovely company.

Is that the pub on the 'centre' just down from Corn St?.. reputedly the smallest pub in the city,.. although I think the Bridge Inn was smaller personally.

Well yes, but even with a squad for the ages in 1978, managed to make an absolute mess of things.

Meanwhile almost every small nation you can think of have qualified from a group stage. Except Scotland.
Ah well, happy memories of cheering on Ally Macleod’s Tartan Army in the Prince of Wales, Holmesdale Road, Reigate back in the day!
Happy carefree times, despite the Scottish disasters!🍺🍺🍺😁👍

I'm 32% Scottish, so yes. I just wish Steve Clarke had taken our captain Tom Cairney who can put his foot on the ball and then unlock a defence and also curl a left-footed shot in from outside the area.

I’d like them to go out the round before England do. As deep into the tournament as possible.

If they played turgid football like Englland then no, but vs Switzerland they showed fight and attacking intent. I will be cheering them on tonight.
By attacking intent do you mean launching the ball into the opposition box from anywhere in the pitch at any opportunity? At least England do actually try to play football, even if they’re not very good at it.

More attacking intent than England showed.

I hope they go through, I'd rather watch a Scotland game than two central European teams that I have no affiliation with. It wouldn't ruin my evening though if they lost.
