I've voted yes, but I'd rather see Chelsea & Everton get relegated this season alongside Sheffield United as Palace will still be woeful again next year. However, their time for relegation will come. They can't continue to battle and not fall at some point

My concern is that the longer they hang around, the more likely a Petro-state buys them off of the yanks.

As glorious as last Saturday was - and it was - personally I get even more pleasure now in thrashing one of the big boys. De Zerbi's first win against Chelsea, and the complete demolition of Man United at The Amex under Potter for example. Another measure of how far we've come.

They'll stick with Roy until the end of the season and they'll scrape into their usual 15th place however.... That useless oaf Southgate must surely leave England in the summer, him and his beloved Palace are a match made in heaven. If that happens they'll be nailed on to get relegated 24/25.

Yes, I'd love them to go down. It's much much easier for them lot to eventually get it right with the PL money flowing in. Only a matter of time until they accidentally appoint a manager who is competent enough to transform them into a better team on the pitch if they're in the PL.

Let them fall into the dogfight that is The Championship. Sure, they'll come back up in time, but at a significant financial disadvantage with a far weaker playing squad compared to where they could be if they continue to survive in the PL.

Sorry to ruin this but I can't see luton getting enough points and palace will get over the line still, add on possibility of points deductions

Yeh. So Luton on 20 points from 23, so you can extrapolate they could get to around 35 or 36.

Everton a bit different as in effect they've got 29 from 24, so should get well into the 40s

Burnley and Sheff Utd, both on target for about 20

Palace on 24 from 23. If they stay over a point a game, of course they will be fine.

It's just if Palace dip and Luton don't they could be in trouble. Plus no further deduction. It's unlikely. They would have to implode quite spectacularly.

they certainly look poor, while all those below seem to have a bit of fight in them.

Palace's fixtures will be challenging.
Their easiest games are in the next 4 weeks when they are likely to be without their best attackers.
Eze in particular has always been a flat-track bully, never having scored against the Big 6, and stat padding against lesser teams.
He's likely to e out for home games with fellow strugglers Burnley on Feb24th & Luton on March 9th.

Their run in is horrific and if the other teams can put them under pressure it could get interesting

A tantalising post my friend.

But surely they only need about 12 points from 15 games.

And that's assuming Everton and Forest's financial travails don't intervene.

I think it would be funny if they went down but I can't really see it happening. And I'm hoping we can help them out by beating Sheffield United and Burnley.

Agree it's unlikely, and they always find away of course.

But......

Home games
  1. Chelsea
  2. Burnley
  3. Luton
  4. Newcastle
  5. City
  6. West Ham
  7. United
  8. Villa
Away
  1. Everton
  2. Forest
  3. Spurs
  4. Bournemouth
  5. Liverpool
  6. Fulham
  7. Wolves
I can see them missing out on 12 pts from those fixtures, with the injury list they have.

If they lose to Luton, then i'll get interested

Might be time to get the popcorn in for the run in.
