I am increasing minded that the Chinese strategy works best. This is contrary to my recent view. The reason is new infection is so rare now in China it suggests the virus needs to be active in a human to be contageous or it will be killed before it can spread. If there is bounce back in China (as I originally predicted) that will, of course, be Old Bollocks.
I also believe in the Chinese way as well, if the Chinese numbers are correct. I have been more or less screaming "lock us up as quickly as you can please" since last Friday and it increasingly seems the way to go.
Seems to be working in Italy as well, some people might object and say "but 475 people died in Italy today". I think thats a good number though. Pre-lockdown (but post first measures) they had about a 25% increase in new confirmed cases every day, now they are down to 13% the last three days. While still very early, that is promising. No measures at all and Italy would probably easily be at 1000 deaths a day now and some insane numbers infected.
They've done a good job. Lock us up.
