Do you think we'll get a loan striker in by the weekend?

Will we sign a loan striker in time to play on Saturday?

I think it'll happen. We've expressed the need and when such a statement is made it leads me to believe that action is just around the corner.

I hope so because ACTIONS speak LOUDER than WORDS.

And atm all we HAVE is WORDS.

A getting nobody in/losing to Yeovil double could well be cataclysmic.
Although it would be nice to do something well.

Binfestary and banning, happy days!!

We'll probably sign another central midfielder instead.

Also, if we're not prepared to give Barker a chance when we are down to bare bones, what is the point in him being at the club?

Apocalyptic if Palace scrape a draw against Fulham 2 days later , the mood will be :down:and :shootself

all paper talk and club trying to sell tickets for me. Never going to get a guy in, not in a million years.

This is true. Not sure that Barker is the answer, but we haven't even seen Ben Dickenson yet. Give him a try, see how he does.

Dickenson looks great IMO. Tall, big, strong & fast. He might not be as technically good as Barker (yet), but he seems (to me) to have the physical capabilities to play in the Championship, which is half the battle..

Yes the club can not take another gamble without one.

But who is another question.

Not really. You're in a tiny minority of people who are absolutely obsessed with Palace. Every other post of yours is an unfunny "joke" at their expense. Odd and boring.

If we lose to Yeovil with no loan striker signed and Palace win or draw there WILL be an infestation of Palace trolls mixing with the wrist slashers of NSC. Biggest binfest on here in a long long time I'd wager

If you're going to do that, you may as well use a proper striker from the development squad to give him proper match experience. And that is preferable to bringing in another jobbing loanee like Paynter or indeed Conway, who has no interest in even being here.[/QUOTE

On what evidence is that based?

His performances so far would suggest he either has no interest or is totally useless, sad to say.

Well to be fair, he hasn't really had much of a chance to show what he can do yet. One problem being the man currently occupying his favoured left wing position, namely a certain Kazenga Lua-Lua, our best player by a country miile in recent games in my opinion, so the manager is hardly going to drop him to give Conway a chance.

Players need a good run in the team to be able to give of their best, and l don't see how Conway will get the opportunities to do that.
