Well, my dvd's turned up yesterday, at midday, when no fucker is in. I got one of those notes saying i couldn't collect it for 24 hours, don't normally mind this really

BUT

why don't the lazy FUCKS ever write the package number or deliverer number on the card? I'd have a LOT more support for them if they did their f***ing jobs properly every once in a while.

Just put a "parcel is too big for letter box" red card through our door and walked off!

You're lucky, its 48 hours for us and even then its rarely there!!

Yes, they are trying to protect the jobs at the end of their day. Whatever people say we have the privilege of the best postal system in the world and I have no complaints.

They probably havent got the time to fill in all the form and it dont really matter because they know at the sorting office that the item hasn't been delivered and give it a reference number to stick in the database with all the relevant details.

You obviously haven't read any of the other 7 pages of this thread or the other postie threads. Thats one of the reasons why the posties are striking.....

They now have to start 1 hour and 30 mins later than they used too.

Isn't also a little obvious that all dockets will have a minimum of 24 hours on it. As the postman won't finish his round until 2pm and will have to carry this item on them until they finish the delivery and take it back to the office.

Although you are right the postie should right the recored/special delivery number on the docket...does it really matter? No it doesn't. If you take your card to the office, you will get your item.

Surely it gets returned to the depot at the end of the round and should be there within a few hours?

Our old postie used to drop cards and say no one was in so we caught him out and he was removed from deliveries since he was doing it to everyone.

Oh. The office at our local (and I use that term loosely since we are out in the sticks) depot is open until 6pm.
I have never had a card telling me to wait 24 hours, usually says 4.

Do you really think that any postie really gives a f*** at the moment. I certainly don't. Losing money...possibly lose my job with all the job cuts looming and all the change.

Morale is rock bottom....people don't give a shit anymore and thats down to Royal Mail. So if you have a problem it should be with them.

What I'm saying in they are losing public support very quickly by not doing their jobs properly when they are working. I've got a problem with the way my delivery note is filled out, that isn't Croziers fault.

NB I don't think I've EVER seen that bit of the card filled out...

So your judging the whole work force of RM by your one postman. Maybe the other 150,000 do it the right way.

Just a couple of comments from the uneducated

1. If all foreign labour was to leave this country, there would be total collapse of most public services, in particular the hospitals, building industry and transport systems.

2. The reason so many foreign workers have jobs is that too many British workers don't want to do such tasks for realistic money.

So please enlighten me how is it f***ing this country up, when our economy has been one of the strongest in the World over the last decade.

I'm still waiting for some dvds and i have just checked on play and the one i'm waiting on the longest was dispached by them 10 days ago.
Do i take it that if it hasn't turned up by tomorrow then with the strikes next week, i'm not likely going to get it until thursday or friday next week?
