I tape it every episode (on that series thing), often start to watch it and fall asleep, and then maybe watch it back on a Sunday morning and occasionally fall asleep again. If I think I'm going to fall asleep I fast forward though all the 'analysis' stuff. Probably see between 30-80% of it

Yes, I watch it - I often still consume TV in the traditional way. Shearer and Lineker annoy me though.

Sometimes. Sometimes I’m tired and zzz before it’s on. I still tend to catch up with it on the Sunday morning though.

If we have won I watch it all, if we have drawn in a disappointing fashion I watch our game only, if we have lost I avoid the whole thing.

Neither here nor there
If there was a full programme of games on a Saturday and no live matches to watch on Sky/TNT, MotD would again be required viewing.

These days it feels like what it is: a rather undercooked highlights show, on at a time of night when I'd rather be in bed or in the company of friends.

Regardless of the personnel or production quality, it's become marginalised by the glut of TV football that's on most days of the week.

Just far enough away from LDC
I do - enjoy it. Kids will watch on Sunday morning. I try to watch Saturday night

Holds a happy place in our family. My eldest's 1st word was 'goal' watching Motd. He also used to lean on a poufe and dance to theme music

The theme music sends me to sleep, think it's deeply programmed into my brain from watching it late at night pre-teen. Neural programming or whatever. If I mute it, then Shearer does the job just as well.
Can't stand the non-playing bits of the highlights: extended shots of managers and their chewing gum, ugly spectators, slow motion replays of goal celebrations.

And as for the underlying music on the goal of the month section.....

Luckily we have fast forward.
