I will start going back to pubs at some point soon, but not tomorrow as it's likely to be carnage!

“Pubs can’t open until 6am”.
Interesting wording from the government.
“Astonishingly were are letting pubs open at 6am” would have been more accurate.

It’s going to be fecking carnage. Social distancing out the window by 9am. I can’t imagine many pubs will open at 6am?

"Pubs in England will be allowed to open from 6am on Saturday in a move the government hopes will help avoid a rush of drinkers as the lockdown is lifted, Downing Street has said." Have they not met British people? :D

WTF?

Pubs can’t open at 6am unless they have a license to do so already. <10% of U.K. premises do. The press is misleading.

It basically means the COVID rules around licensing end at 6am tomorrow

I'm going to go for a walk and to see them on Saturday evening, but I'm not going in. Anyway, where I live you need to book a table outside to even sit in the beer garden and I haven't.

Most kegs of lager have a 6 month shelf life from leaving the brewery (your standard ones) others 3 months, cider 12 months Strongbow 3000 years.

Cask 3 weeks

In fairness I wasn't talking about lager, more some of the pretentious nonsense enjoyed by a few of us on here.
Also, I was thinking in terms of once everything had been tapped, and was ready to go, so depending on abv about a week tops for your cask.

Or more likely, as pubs have been told they can open on July 4th, it has been said so that pubs can't open at midnight tonight, which would have led to absolute carnage

They have, yes.

The 6am ruling has been put in place to stop those places who had been planning re-opening parties at 00:01 tonight.

Our pubs where I am (Ontario) reopened for outdoor service only, and they've been real flexible in allowing pubs to expand outdoor seating into parking lots etc.. Are yours open inside and out? or just out?

I don't see pubs opening tomorrow resulting in the kind of carnage as some seem to think will happen.

Seems the vast majority of people will give pubs a miss regardless and I'm sure the vast majority of pubs won't be operating in a way that's likely to result in chaos anyway.

More important is that the MS cafe at Hombush Shoreham opens again tomorrow
