Aside from the fact that they are cheese eating surrender monkeys I bloody love the french and pretty much everything about the country. The way of life in the south is bloody brilliant, the wine, the food is the best in the world (FACT), the language is kind on the ear and the women are SEXY.

France is bloody excellent.

No. I find Parisians obnoxius, and they all talk too fast, but otherwise theres nothing wrong with them.

I find it just daft to draw conclusions like this about such a large group of people. Didn't some people used to do it about Irish people too, before realising it was just a bit of a crap thing to do?

My ex was Parisian - and my was she fabulous, as indeed were her Parisian family and all her Parisian friends I met in the year I went out with her - warm, funny, welcoming, polite, friendly and generous in the extreme with their hospitality, i.e. just about everything that the stereotype says that Parisians aren't.

I do wish that someone with a bit more cred than Her Maj the Queen had said it, but when she said "stereotypes crumble in the face of human contact" in Germany recently, it rang a bell or two.

After working with a few Parisians and after having been in the city a few times, I'll rephrase it to:

All the many Parisians I've ever met are obnoxius.

I've worked there a lot & although some can be obnoxious at first, after a short while I've found everyone was fine - unless you're a total bellend, but then that's your problem.

I've just rung up my mate who works the Sun.

You're in for it now, everyone in this thread is going to be exposed as racists.
