I never want to lose and I would love to see us play FC United but on the other hand I don't want us to compromise our performance in the league. We can't afford to lose a key player to injury or suspension. So I hope we win but I wont lose any sleep if we don't.

The attitude he has sent the players out with in cup games this year has been a disgrace. Yes the players have to take some responsibility but the attitude transmits from the manager, who evidently didn't care about yesterday. I've got nothing against Poyet resting some first-teamers but the least I expect is some desire and commitment from the players to perform.

The league is the priority but the attitude still has to be right for the cups.

Agree. Also the club need to gather more supporters for next year & a good cup run will help. I will be at the replay & will be pretty hacked off if Gus has the contempt to play a weakened side now that we have a plum tie in the next round.

I wonder if there is any correllation between the age of supporters and their views on the FA cup. Personally, I suspect that, generally, the younger supporters couldn't give a stuff and the older ones remember the glory of the cup. Possibly because compared to 30 years ago, an appearance at Wembley is not beyond most teams in the football league either by way of JPT or play-offs whereas before, only teams in the top two divisions had a chance of the dream coming true.
