But who? I never said that you did.
Bens Grandad will confirm that a certain director could easily pay for the project I am not naming him though.
And the keyword here is could

I know the keyword is 'could'. We have already established that. I thought you might be getting confused with the worth of Tony Bloom again.
...... finance when it hasnt been confirmed by the club.
I'm not convinced any of our directors are even WORTH £60m let alone have that much, especially not to spare. I'd like to know who is supposedly that wealthy.I know the keyword is 'could'. We have already established that. I thought you might be getting confused with the worth of Tony Bloom again.
There are two different questions floating about.
Can we afford Falmer?
and
Do you believe we will have the money?
Two different question, really.
We can afford Falmer, if we have a decent marketing team and set prices at sensible levels to bring back the masses. We have two Universities within a stones throw, a relatively youthful population and a large catchment area. There does seem to be a chance that the project will be extremely viable. We do not have a great deal of debt owed to those outside of the club, so that should not be an issue.
I read that Steward433 said that we have two people on the board that could pay for the whole thing. Were their names revealed? I am certain we do not have anyone that rich on our side.
Ps Why the sly digs at WW? He is asking a justifiable question and something that is key to our progress as a club. Obviously, it is all opinionated as we are looking into the future.
Derek Chapman ?I'd like to know who is supposedly that wealthy.
TLO's interview with Martin Perry on Radio Reverb covered this to my satisfaction.
A question for the accountants on here.
When we signed the agreement with the Buckingham Group V.A.T. was 17.5%
Now it has dropped to 15% we will be effectively paying less on the stadium build 2.14% i believe?
I'm not an accountant but yes we only pay VAT at 15% until it reverts back in Jan 2010 to 17.5% which is when it becomes complicated and only Lord Canning will understand all the minutiae of the tax rules.A question for the accountants on here.

Wouldn't the club/company who are paying for it to be built (not necessarily the same thing) claim the VAT back anyway? Or do I totally not understand how VAT works??
Have just listened thinking it was this week's but clearly not. Was this the one of a few weeks ago? I dont suppose anyone has a transcript of what Martin actually said on the finance issue?
In any event, my concern is if it was said even a few weeks ago the world of finance is spiralling downwards so rapidly it might not be relevant now.

I Think The Initial Cost Is Covered By One Member Of The Board, this Will Be Repaid To Him Once The Bankers Loosen There Sweaty Little Grip On Our Money!
So does it mean the club forking out slightly less before claiming back the VAT element between now and Jan 2010 or is it all worked out on net and gross amounts ?
