Do we really need another centre back?

Teams that finish top 2 don't normally have to rely on untried youth products. They have depth. Complete nonsense for us to think otherwise.

It's important to have depth and a very strong bench. Not filled with kids. That's for clubs with small budgets. We haven't

This is the first season where 93 day loans were abolished. All teams, including those aiming for automatic promotion will have to look at using fringe players for cover. There's only so much depth you can have whilst keeping the wage budget realistic and also quality players wont want to come and warm the bench permanently.

My opinion on White is based on what CH says about him and his performance against Colchester. In fact when Dunk took a knock on Tuesday I would have brought him on for a few minutes with us having the game in the bag and no pressure on him to give him the chance to try against a championship team a poor one granted but an improvement on Colchester. We will not know if he is good enough unless we throw him in for a short while as we had to with Goldson who granted had played a number of league games for Shrewsbury.

He really didn't show he was a "liability," that is far too strong a comment. You then go on to say that White would be a better option than Ince or Calderon because he "looked competent" against a League 2 side whose biggest threat was Brennan Dickenson.

Dickensen has scored three in the two games since... :jester:

Exactly. You can't win anything with kids!

Ince as a spare centre back is an interesting option.

The U23s need to concentrate on not finishing 2nd from bottom of the league this year before we think about fast tracking too many of them into the first team.

Really? You want our academy's primary concern to be the league position of the U-18 and U-23 teams, rather than the development of individuals for the first team? I sincerely hope Tony Bloom doesn't share your view.

I don't think we want a center back, but a defender that can cover full back as well.....Russel Martin ? The problem is not just injury, but loss of form as well,we are short of numbers upfront, because it seems Harper and Hambro are not up for it. I quite like Manu, but he must reckon that he is a lot better than he actually is,and being the 4th attacker,is not for him.......i may be wrong,Elvis......!

Is this a twitter rumour?

Absolute madness to sell him now.
Someone I know knows someone that went to a wedding and apparently Bruno and dunks wives were talking about him leaving, I wouldn't worry though, when have women spoken any sense?!

Absolutely we do , strength in depth cost us last season , we need another classy centre back and a striker then the squad would be very strong
