Do we have a song for Chris Hughton?

Some of the best songs ever written don't rhyme though.

That wasn't what I said? When you're singing a song to 'You are my Sunshine' it's advisable to rhyme in the same places - therefore I think the Garcia song was shit? You get what I meant? I'm not saying all songs 'have' to rhyme

Actually I am not even sure the lyrics matter. It is just volume and feeling that make it sound good. Are the chants in other countries shit because we don't know what they are saying and if it rhymes?

I give up. If you think the Oscar song sounded good then great - to me it was woeful. Can't be bothered to carry on it's getting petty - felt your initial post about 5 yr olds was completely uncalled for that's all

OK this is the best I could do.

OH Chrissy Hughton
He's got his suit on
He came from Ireland to bring us joy
He has no stubble, but that's no trouble
Please don't take our Chrissy away.

I know it will upset the non rhyming people and the anti "Chrissy" people and it is not very good, but hey ho.

Thinking back , I'm not sure that JOY and AWAY need to rhythm in that one. That comes from Garcia/Sangria and Stubble/Rubble.

I liked it, and it sounded effing great away at Forest after the game..............as well as Leo's song of course. :albion2:

How about two for the price of one

"Chris and Tony's Blue and White Army".

Avoids the offensive "Chrissie" as well. Win win.

I know it should really be Tony and Chsis's, but that just doesn't work somehow.

No they were meant to. Stubble/rubble didn't need to!

You make me happy when sky's are GREY
You'll never notice
how much I love you
Until you take my sunshine away

Grey - joy
Stubble-notice
Rubble-you
Away - away

Not that it matters.

No, No, No and No! Chrissy - so, so cringeworthy. #Puppet Master

I'd even rather Christopher Hugetown than 'Chrissy' Hugetown

Has Hughton ever had a song at any previous club? Suspect not. It'd be like IMHO having a song for ex-PM John Major. :moo:

John Major was our PM
He liked to eat his peas
But when he shagged Edwina
He thought of Orlandi.

IMO the Oscar song was the most cringeworthy ever. Mainly because 'Joy' and 'away' didn't rhyme or even sound close - awful song!

As for the Buckley song (well, the Benno song) - it would be quite funny to pass it to Murphy just for shits and giggles. Only thing is you'd have to do 'Jamie, Oh Jamie Murphy runs down the wing...' as of course the syllables don't fit..

You're right about the Buckley song not quite working for Murphy. But I was pissed and it sounded good in my head at the time of the post.
