Neither myself or Wifey can remember if we cleaned the bbq after it's last use last year. Wifey thinks we did, I seem to remember saying 'don't bother we'll get 1 more use and do a proper clean then'.

We didn't bbq in summer part 1 (march).

Obviously we didn't bother during the summer, (cos it rained).

Now we are both far to scared too lift the cover, and as it's nearly Autumn, that level of danger seems a little pointless as it'll be winter in a couple of weeks.

Do we risk attack from some mutated bbq nasty?

1 calendar month later & we were finally brave enough to look. As it turns out the answer is:-

NO

The bbq wasn't cleaned, & is currently being nuked in order to cook 4 burgers, before being covered (uncleaned) and left for a further calendar year.

Don't put it away at all, just keep on BBQing all year round. We always have a nice leg of lamb on the BBQ on Boxing Day.

we bbq all year as well superphil. if the mrs would allow it i would have built a whole fire pit in the garden but she is a misery guts over anything remotely fun.

we bbq all the time though, not just sunny days.

Gotr a nice "lean to" on the side of the house, BBQ in any weather. Best ever was in the snow on new years eve a few years back.
